Sourcing

Every money figure on this site is either computed from published figures or transcribed from a primary source: a lender’s own terms page, a state statute, a regulator’s publication, or an enforcement record. Third-party review sites are not sources. Where a lender publishes no APR, the page says so and labels any illustrative rate as illustrative.

Computation

Worked examples are amortized schedules computed from the cited APR and term — the arithmetic is shown so readers can check it. State fee examples come from the statute fields in our data core. We do not round in our favor and we do not invent numbers where sources are silent; silence is reported as silence.

Review process

Pages carry a named author and a reviewing editor. The reviewer checks the sourcing chain — statute to table, lender page to review — before publication. Corrections are verified against the primary source before going live, and the affected pages get a new updated date.

Independence

Scope limits

This site covers short-term, small-dollar, and mid-size installment credit for the two Carolinas. It is information, not legal, financial, or tax advice; for a binding answer about a specific situation, consult the regulator named on the page or a licensed professional.
